Q: Can I add an extra bed?
A: Sofa beds or rollaways are available but subject to room type and availabilities. Charges apply.
Q: Do you offer flexible check-in / check-out times?
A: We try to meet all our guest requirements. Our flexible check-in / check-out times are subject to availability.
Q: Do you allow pets in the apartments?
A: No, sorry :(
Q: Do you have baby cots and what is the cost?
A: Yes we do. They are free of charge but are subject to availability. Let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: What time is your gym opened?
A: It is open 24 hours.
Q: Do you have air conditioning?
A: No, your apartment is one of the most eco-friendly in Canberra and has been designed to be ‘passively’ cooled which is better for the environment and better for your health. That means there’s no mechanical air-conditioning, just nature’s natural breeze.
Q: Are the apartments serviced?
A: Being the environmentally friendly bunch that we are, our apartments are serviced weekly.
Q: I’m aware at Ovolo Nishi Canberra you get the Ovolo FREEBIES when you book (Free WIFI, Laundry, Mini-Bar, Happy Hour and Breakfast). Is this the same at Nishi Apartments?
A: The Ovolo FREEBIES offering is exclusive to Ovolo Hotels only. Complimentary Laundry and free WIFI is included with any booking at Nishi Apartments.
Q: How do I get here?
A: It’s easy, promise. Refer to our locations section!
Q: Is there parking available?
A: Valet parking is available at our hotel at a discounted guest rate of $40 per night. Our friendly concierge team outside the hotel will be able to direct you upon arrival at Ovolo Nishi. Otherwise, the closest parking is beneath us at the Wilson car park. The entrance is via Phillip Law Street. This is a public car park and is subject to availability. Bring your parking ticket to reception and we can validate it for you and halve the standard cost.
Q: Are there any bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood?
A: The hotel is located in the NewActon Precinct with a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel is also located in the centre of Canberra, close to a variety of high quality dining options. Our team can make personalised recommendations based on your particular requirements.
Q: How does payment work?
A: We accept credit card (VISA, Diners, Master, AMEX, JCB) cash and bank transfer. For non-refundable booking we require the payment in advance. We will charge the given credit card for the full amount once the booking is made. For all flexible bookings we will hold the given credit card for 1 night rental as guarantee. The room rental and deposit will be required upon check in.
Q: What if I wish to pay by cash?
A: For non-refundable bookings a valid credit card must be used to pay at the time of booking. We will only hold the full amount from the card (not yet charged) until the guest settles the full rental upon check in by cash. For flexible bookings we will hold the given credit card for 1 night rental as guarantee. The guest can settle the deposit and rental upon check in by cash.
Q: What if I don’t have a credit card, how can I make my booking?
A: A credit card must be provided as a guarantee for all bookings.
Q: Can I shorten the stay after check-in?
A: For non-refundable bookings we will charge the full amount even if the guest checks out early. We are unable to refund the remaining room rental. For flexible bookings the guest can advise our hotel by giving 24 hours in advance notice prior to 2:00pm to shorten the stay.
Q: Can I use my friend’s credit card to make the booking?
A: No, a credit card and valid photo ID MUST be produced at check-in, in the name of the guest and matching the booking.
Q: Can I book the room for a special event e.g. wedding / birthday party / photo shoot?
A: Yes. The guest is required to contact hotel directly regarding the special activities and arrangement. Extra charges may apply.
